The latest FRP bridge decking plank in our range is a real powerhouse. These FRP bridge decking elements are the perfect choice for places where pedestrians are king, but emergency services must still have easy access. With an allowable axle load of 10 tons, this plank has no trouble with that. The krafton® 400.80 FRP bridge decking plank is also an excellent choice for bridging longer distances. Heavier vehicles will have no trouble crossing.

Everything about the krafton® 400.80 FRP Bridge Decking Plank
FRP bridge decking planks of this type have a leg structure. Since the underside is not closed, this plank is easy to handle despite its substantial height, partly thanks to its narrower width of 400 mm. In practice, this plank is very easy to assemble without mechanical tools.
This FRP bridge deck is laid with a male-female connection. As a result, the FRP bridge decking elements are arranged tightly against each other.

The krafton® 400.80 plank has an ECI value of €0.83 m1 which converts to €5.30 m2, for a service life of 100 years. In comparison with a bridge deck made of wood, this is 46.7% lower, were a wooden deck must be replaced every 20 years (based on the EPD product card Footbridge (wood), category 3). In comparison with a bridge deck made of steel walking grids, this is 78.2% lower, were the steel walking grid needs to be replaced every 50 years (based on the EPD product card Walking grid; steel, galvanized and coated, category 3).
Technical properties krafton® 400.80 FRP Bridge Decking Plank
When a span is chosen in combination with a deflection requirement that is below the relevant lines in the graph, the krafton® 400.80 meets the requirements set for a bridge decking plank in accordance with the Dutch Building Decree for use as a cycle and pedestrian bridge deck. Depending on the deflection requirement, the krafton® 400.80 can handle almost any span and the maximum bending stress will not be reached. In other words, like all planks, krafton® 400.80 can effortlessly form an FRP bridge deck with the required FRP planks load.
