Jetty renovation Zaanstad with FRP Bridge Decking Planks 256.40
The jetty in the Spiekeroog at the Oude Haven along the river Zaan was in dire need of renovation. The Municipality of Zaanstad decided to use our 256.40 FRP Bridge Decking Plank to replace the wooden jetty. The municipal maintenance department itself attached some 274 m2 to the jetty's support structure, and carried out the renovation using its own maintenance vessel, thus minimising inconvenience on the ground for local residents.

The advantages of FRP Bridge Decking Planks for jetty renovation
Minimal inconvenience during assembly just one of the many advantages of FRP Bridge Decking Planks. For example, an FRP Bridge Deck has a long service life and is lightweight, and installation costs are very low compared with other structures. What’s more, FRP Bridge Decking Planks come with a non-slip layer and wear-resistant surface and are UV-resistant and non-magnetic. In addition, the jetty is now not only resistant to corrosion and chemicals, but also acts as an electrical and thermal insulator. It is precisely for this type of use that the properties of our FRP Bridge Decking Planks are welcomed, since they allow safe use of the renovated jetty both in winter, and during the sunny days of summer.
